# Add a News

After adding a category, it’s now time to add a news. So, go to **Add News Item** option in the **Top News Internal**menu. There, enter the title of the news on the **Add title** text box. Then, in the big text area, you can insert the description of the news.

Now, to add the image of the news, click on the **Set featured image** link available on the **Featured Image** section. Then, upload and select that specific image to set for that news.

Lastly, you can select the category of the news from the**News Categories** section on the right side of this page.

Now, set the News **Status** as **Active** and click on the **Publish** button.
